What's New for Your 2027 Benefits

HealthyME continues to grow with benefits, programs and resources designed to help you access care, save time, manage costs and feel more prepared for life’s expected and unexpected moments.

For 2027, we are keeping Annual Open Enrollment simple while continuing to focus on value, choice and meaningful support for you and your loved ones. Here are some of the updates and reminders to consider as you review your benefits for 2027.

Medical Plan Contributions and Coverage

We encourage you to take time to review your medical plan and make sure it still meets the needs of you and your family. There will be no changes to your dental, vision, disability or life insurance plans or rates for 2027.

The following changes and the benefits you elect during Annual Open Enrollment take effect January 1, 2027.

Your medical plan contributions may go up slightly, depending on the plan you enroll in and your salary band. The cost of healthcare continues to rise nationwide, driven by higher prices for prescription drugs, increased use of care and advances in treatment. HealthyME will absorb most of the increase for 2027. You will see the costs for coverage when you enroll.
Updates to our medical plan coverage are designed to balance affordability with meaningful financial protection and ensure our coverage aligns with the markets we work in. Because the impact will vary by plan, network and services you use, take time during Annual Open Enrollment to review your coverage.
Physical therapy and occupational therapy coverage through Anthem network providers will change to separate limits of 40 physical therapy visits and 40 occupational therapy visits per calendar year across all medical plans.

Log in to the HealthyME Benefits Center and select Compare Plans to review any updates to your 2027 coverage and contributions.

New Anthem ID Cards: What to Do Beginning January 1

Anthem is moving to a new internal system. As a result, all members enrolled in an Anthem medical plan will receive a new ID card for 2027, including members who are already enrolled today.

Your member ID number is not changing, but your group number will change. Because healthcare providers use the group number when submitting claims, it is important to begin using your new card on January 1, 2027.

Beginning January 1, Use Your New ID Card

Help avoid disruptions when receiving care or filling a prescription by ensuring your providers use the new group number when submitting claims:

Look for your new digital and mailed ID cards in late December 2026
Stop using your current Anthem card beginning January 1, 2027
Present your new card whenever you receive care or fill a prescription
Update your information with your healthcare providers and pharmacies – provide your new group ID number

Spending Account Contribution Limits

Contribution limits for certain tax-advantaged spending accounts are changing for 2027:

The Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) maximum contribution is projected to increase from $3,400 to $3,500*
The Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA) maximum contribution is projected to increase from $3,400 to $3,500**
The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) maximum contribution remains $7,500
The Health Savings Account (HSA) maximum contribution is increasing from $4,400 to $4,500 for individual coverage and from $8,750 to $9,000 for family coverage. These amounts include the Montefiore Einstein contribution

Spending accounts can help you plan ahead, save on taxes and prepare for eligible healthcare or dependent care expenses throughout the year.

Remember: If you want to contribute to a Healthcare FSA, Limited Purpose FSA or Dependent Care FSA in 2027, you must actively enroll during Annual Open Enrollment. FSA elections do not automatically carry over from year to year.

If you are enrolled in an HSA, your current contributions will carry over unless you choose to change them, which you can do at any point during the year.

HSA eligibility and contribution limits depend on your medical plan, coverage level and other factors.

2027 Retirement Savings Contribution Limits

The projected 2027 maximum employee contribution to a 403(b) plan is $25,000, up from $24,500 in 2026. For participants age 50 or older, the additional catch-up contribution is projected to remain at $8,000 for 2027.

Roth catch-up contributions: Under the SECURE 2.0 Act, if you are eligible to make catch-up contributions and your 2026 FICA wages from Montefiore exceeded $150,000, your 2027 catch-up contributions must be made on a Roth, or after-tax, basis. Once your contributions reach the regular annual limit, any catch-up contributions will automatically be made as Roth contributions. You do not need to make a separate Roth election for these contributions.

Note: The 2027 contribution limits and FICA wage threshold are projected and subject to change once the IRS announces the official amounts.

Start by exploring this Annual Open Enrollment page with anyone helping you make benefits decisions at home. You’ll learn what’s new for 2027 and can review the benefits, programs and resources available to support your health, financial well-being and life beyond work.

Then, log in to the HealthyME Benefits Center to:

Review details about the programs available to you, including your rates, costs and coverage summaries. Just select “Benefits Information” from the top menu of your account homepage
Learn about 2027 plan design changes and your personal 2027 contributions
Compare plans, coverage and costs
Verify your covered dependents
Review and update your beneficiaries
Make your Annual Open Enrollment elections
Make your 2027 Healthcare, Limited Purpose or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) elections (required annually if you wish to contribute)
- Remember, the FSA options available to you will depend on your eligibility and medical plan enrollment.

How to Enroll During Annual Open Enrollment

From October 26 through November 13, 2026, log in to the  HealthyME Benefits Center to enroll during the Annual Open Enrollment window. Sign in with your username and password or through Single Sign-On. If you are logging in for the first time, select "Register" to create your account. The system will walk you through each decision you need to make and all the information you need to enter. Follow the steps below or download these  Enrollment Instructions:

Click “Start Here” to review your personal information and add any dependents you wish to cover
Review and confirm your personal information. If you need to make changes to your name, address or other personal information after enrolling, select I Want To… from the top menu and click Change My Contact Information.Make sure your address is complete and correct. We often find issues with missing apartment numbers, misspelled information and incorrect zip codes.
- During enrollment you’ll have the opportunity to compare your available benefit plans and explore coverage options. You can also preview paycheck contributions and estimated costs you may incur throughout the year before finalizing your selections.
Some plans, such as Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance, require that you designate a beneficiary, which you’ll be prompted to complete during the enrollment process. Make sure you have the legal name, Social Security number and birthday for whoever you want to name as a beneficiary.
Confirm your elections and save your email confirmation for your records

After completing your enrollment, if you wish to make changes to your selections, you can return to the benefits selection process and make changes as long as you’re still within the Annual Open Enrollment window.

What Happens if You Don't Enroll

For most benefits, your current coverage elections will carry over into 2027 if you do not make changes during Annual Open Enrollment, except participation in a Healthcare, Limited Purpose or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). These require active enrollment each year if you wish to contribute for the next calendar year. The FSA options available to you will depend on your eligibility and medical plan enrollment.Even if you plan to keep your current coverage, this is your once-a-year opportunity to review your benefits and make changes. Your next opportunity will generally be Annual Open Enrollment for 2028 coverage unless you experience a qualifying life event, such as marriage, the birth or adoption of a child or a gain or loss of other coverage.
