Commuter Benefits

Starting February 1, 2026, you will manage your commuter accounts on the new HealthyME Benefits Center with MyChoice Accounts.

Did you have a Commuter Benefits Account in 2025?
If so, you can use your HealthEquity Card through January 31, 2026 to pay for eligible transit and parking expenses. You will receive a new card from MyChoice Accounts that you can begin using February 1, 2026.

For assistance with your 2025 account, contact HealthEquity/Wageworks at 877-924-3967 or www.wageworks.com.

Any unused commuter funds remaining in your account after April 30, 2026, will be transferred to MyChoice Accounts to be used for 2026.

Whether you take the train, drive or use a mix of both, our commuter benefits program can help you save money on your everyday commute. Beginning January 1, 2026, this program will be administered by MyChoice Accounts from Businessolver.

By using pre-tax payroll deductions to pay for eligible transit and parking expenses, you lower your taxable income and increase your take-home pay. It’s a flexible, easy-to-manage program with direct payment options, so there’s no long wait for reimbursement. Elections can be changed monthly, depending on personal use of the benefit.

Per IRS rules, parking- and transit-dedicated accounts are not interchangeable. That is, you cannot use money set aside for transit on parking or vice versa. You CAN make two separate payroll deductions, however, if you need to use both.

    • For example, if you pay for parking at a park-and-ride lot and also pay for a bus pass separately, you could use commuter benefits for both. The bus pass would count toward the transit limit, and the parking fee would count toward the parking limit.

Starting February 1, 2026, you can use your MyChoice® Accounts Commuter Account to pay for eligible transit and parking expenses. If you don’t use all the money, it stays in your account year over year. However, if you separate from your employer, any unused funds will be forfeited.
