Montefiore offers dental coverage through Cigna to help you maintain a healthy smile-because your oral health is a key part of your overall well-being.<\/p>\n

The dental plan options available to you vary based on your role. You may waive coverage, or enroll in employee-only or family coverage. Find more details about the options available to you on the HealthyME Benefits Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t

Finding In-Network Care<\/h3>\n

Cigna’s Total DPPO Network<\/strong> includes Montefiore’s own Department of Dentistry. Using in-network dentists helps lower your out-of-pocket costs thanks to pre-negotiated fees, but you’re not required to stay in-network.<\/p>\n

Out-of-Network Care<\/h4>\n

You can choose any licensed dentist, but if you go out of network, your costs may be higher. That’s because the plan reimburses based on Cigna’s Fee Schedule<\/strong>, not the full billed amount. You’ll be responsible for any balance beyond what the plan covers.<\/p>\n

Taking care of your vision is an important part of your overall health, and Montefiore’s vision plan through UnitedHealthcare<\/strong> helps you take action to do just that.<\/p>\n

The plan includes coverage for an annual eye exam<\/strong> and vision hardware<\/strong>, such as glasses or contact lenses. You can choose between two options, depending on your needs.<\/p>\n

You’ll pay 100 percent of the cost for vision coverage using pre-tax dollars<\/strong>, and you’ll get the best value when you use an in-network provider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
